Above you will see some of our most popular timbers, including Lime, Western Red Cedar, Walnut and Oak.

 

Samples shown have been finished with oil and polish, giving the overall shoji a furniture like quality when completed.  However all of our timbers can be used in their most natural form which is very beautiful, and gives a matt finish to the shoji, it all depends on your preference.

 

We also offer a coloured lacquering service so you can have a jet black shoji (see Photo Gallery) or a brilliant white shoji if you wished!

Rice Paper Samples

Our laminated rice paper comes in quite a wide range of finishes and colours.  Photo 1 shows our most popular choice, in a creamy white natural finish.

 

As you can see the choices range from white through teal, magenta, pink and blue!

 

Our laminated rice paper is puncture resistant, fire retardant and suitable for both domestic and commercial applications.

 

Our Timber in Its Rawest Form

As you can see from these photos, taken on one of our visits to our timber supplier, the wood comes in a very raw form before we transform it into beautiful shoji screens, doors and shutters.

 

We work with our supplier to ensure we only use the very highest grade of timber in all of our Shoji Projects.
